With a proper gauge, check the cams surface and the camshaft necks hardness : A = Cams for the intake valve B = Cams for the nozzle units C = Camshaft necks E = Cams for the exhaust valves

Measure the necks diameter (C) .

Support the camshaft by the external necks.

With the indicator (1), check the radial runout (eccentricity) in the cams basic circles to the intake valves “A”, exhaust valves “E”, nozzle units "B" and the necks “C” .

With the indicator (1), check the uprising, above the basic circle, the cams recesses to the intake valves “A”, exhaust valves “E” and nozzle units "B" .
