Detension poly-V belt for fan and remove the fan poly-V belt clamping device from the tensioner pulley

Detension poly-V belt for basic belt drive and remove from the alternator belt pulley and the guide pulley

Attach turning device to timing case

Block flywheel using turning device

Detach screw/bolts (1) and remove cover (2)

Detach fan belt pulley (3)

 Bolt, belt pulley of the fan drive to vibration damper

Remove one screw/bolt (4)

 Bolt, vibration damper to crankshaft

Screw in drift (7)

Remove remaining screw/bolts (4)

 Bolt, vibration damper to crankshaft

Remove belt pulley/vibration damper (5)

Check belt pulley/vibration damper (5) and all belt pulleys, tensioner pulleys and guide pulleys for driven assembly parts for damage and concentricity

In case of damage or rough running.



Replace assembly parts.

Remove slinger (6)

 Installation: Observe installation position. The slinger (6) must be installed with the flat side towards belt pulley/vibration damper (5).

Install in the reverse order
