 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

Remove/install

Remove the cylinder head cover (1).

 Installation: Make sure that the seal (2) is seated correctly.

 Bolt, light alloy cylinder head cover to cylinder head

 Bolt, plastic cylinder head cover to cylinder head

*BA01.20-N-1002-01L

Remove seal (2).

 Installation: Install a new seal (2).

Clean sealing surfaces.

Install in the reverse order.

Perform engine test run.

 See information from body manufacturer.

Check area around cylinder head cover (1) in terms of leak tightness.

 Visual inspection.
