Remove/install engine with transmission with removal fixture

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle.

Only when using the lifting platform (1).

Prepare lifting platform (1) using suitable mounts (e.g. rubber blocks).

Only when using the lifting platform (1).

Align and fix in place mounts for the lifting platform (1) as per the cross-hatched areas.

Only when using the lifting platform (1).

 Then lower the lifting platform (1) again.

Bring vehicle into the center working height.

Align lift support point of  support fixture (2) as per the cross-hatched areas and fix in place.

Only when using the alternative removal fixture.

 Use aid of helper.

Align lifting platform (1) with the previously fix in place mounts to the lift support points on engine and transmission.

Only when using the lifting platform (1).

Lower the vehicle somewhat until the engine and transmission lay on the respective lift support points.

Unscrew nut (3)  .

Loosen guide pin (4).

 To do this hammer guide pin (4) out of the guide using a suitable tool.

Remove screw/bolts (5)  .

Remove engine with transmission using the respective removal fixture.

 If necessary, use aid of several persons.
Damage may occur otherwise.

Install in the reverse order.
