 	Remove/Install
1	Remove engine together with front axle carrier		AR01.10-L-2500VA
2	Attach engine with transmission to a suitable lifting device and raise sufficiently until the weight of the engine is no longer acting on the engine mounts	 Chains vertical (see fig.)
3	Unscrew bolts (1, 2)		*BA22.10-P-1005-01I
4	Use a suitable screwdriver to press left front axle shaft (6) out of transmission
5	Unscrew screws (3)		*BA33.30-P-1002-07A
6	Pull intermediate shaft (5) together with bearing bracket (4) out of the transmission	 If stiff, use a suitable screwdriver to press intermediate shaft (5) out of the transmission.
7	Lift engine and transmission out of front axle carrier	 Carefully guide left front drive shaft (6) and intermediate shaft (5) out of the transmission. Replace circlip (9). Installation: Carefully insert left front axle shaft (6) and intermediate shaft (5) into the longitudinal splines in the transmission. Left front drive shaft (6) must be felt to engage.
8	Detach transmission at engine	 Fit on existing end cover (10) (if automatic transmission fitted). Installation: Observe fitted sleeves (8).

9	Install in the reverse order
