3 | Check installation date of smoke alarm (1) | The installation date is recorded on the surface which points towards the baseplate (4). If the smoke alarm is more than 10 years old: | |
Replace smoke alarm (1) and record new installation date on the surface which points towards the baseplate (4). | |||
| Clean | ||
4 | Wipe the outside of the smoke alarm (1) with a damp cloth | ||
5 | Remove dust carefully with a brush | ||
| Install | ||
6 | Replace battery (5) | ||
7 | Install the smoke alarm (1) on the baseplate (4) and turn clockwise as far as the end stop | ||
8 | Screw in safety screw (2) | ||
