Testing

Danger!

Risk of accident as vehicle may start off by itself with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Start the engine and allow it to warm to its normal operating temperature

 A minimum coolant temperature of
50 °C must be ensured.

Switch on air conditioning and set temperature control to maximum refrigeration capacity

See air conditioning operating instructions.

Open recirculating air filter grille (1)

 Rotate bayonet locks 90 ° for this purpose.

Open flap (3)

Allow engine to run with approx.
1,500 rpm

After approx. 10 minutes, check the refrigerant level in the inspection glass (4)

 The air conditioning system has been properly filled if bubble-free refrigerant is visible through the inspection glass (4)

In the event of a high level of bubble development:





Checking air conditioning system for leakage (as a separate repair order).

Check recirculating air filter (2) for contamination

 Replace recirculating air filter (2) if necessary.

Close recirculating air filter grille (1)

Switch air conditioning off and turn engine off
