Risk of explosion caused by escaping natural gas or overheating of compressed-gas tanks when working on vehicles powered by natural gas. Risk of frostbite to body parts caused by escaping natural gas or contact with components near valves when draining compressed-gas tanks. Risk of poisoning or suffocation caused by inhaling natural gas.

Remove any sources of ignition.

Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated.

Wear heat protective gloves.

Close gas shutoff valves at compressed-gas tanks

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start engine and run on idle until it engine goes off by itself

 Gas lines and components are made free of gas

Switch off ignition

Remove drain screw (3) on filter housing (1)

 Residual gas volume escapes

 Installation: Replace seal (6). For assembly of the new sealing ring (6) mask off the thread of the drain screw (3) using insulation tape to prevent any damage to the sealing ring.



Unscrew filter housing (1)

Replace air filter element (2)

 Installation: Before assembling the air filter element (2), grease thread on the filter head using assembly grease. When installing the air filter element (2) use a new sealing ring (5) and tighten the air filter element (2) finger-tight.

Screw-in filter housing (1)

Installation: Clean filter housing (1) using lint-free rags. Replace compression ring (4).



Switch on ignition, start engine and allow to idle

Check high pressure gas filter for signs of leaks

 Apply a foaming agent, for example, soapy water or a leak detection spray, all around the high pressure gas filter.

Stop engine, switch off ignition
