Remove/install/replace

Danger!

Risk of explosion as fuel vapors can ignite. Risk of poisoning from inhaling fuel vapors and exposed handling of fuel. Risk of injury if fuel splashes hit the eyes.

No fire, naked flames or smoking. Avoid formation of sparks. Pour and store fuels only in canisters explicitly provided for this purpose.

Wear protective gloves and, if appropriate, safety goggles when handling fuel.

Release pressure in fuel tank

Open cap

Pinch off fuel hoses (4, 5 and 7) and detach at fuel filter (2)

Collect drained fuel

Detach vent hose (8) at fuel filter (2)

Remove activated charcoal canister (1) together with fuel filter (2)

Pay attention to guides (arrows)

Take fuel filter (2) off activated charcoal filter (1)

Insert new fuel filter (56)

Install in the reverse order

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury from contusions and burns if you insert your hands into the engine when it is started or when it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it moving off.
Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
