Danger!

Risk of explosion caused by escaping natural gas or overheated compressed-gas tanks when working on natural gas powered vehicles. Risk of frostbite to parts of the body caused by escaping natural gas and by touching components near the valves when emptying compressed-gas tanks. Risk of poisoning or risk of suffocation caused by inhaling natural gas.

Remove any sources of ignition.

Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated.

Wear heat protective gloves.

Check all compressed-gas tanks of gas system by means of visual inspection

Check for damage or any other defects (e.g. deformation, corrosion, scratches, chafe marks etc.) which rule out reusing the parts.

If there is damage to the paint protection coating but no damage to the metal surface, reuse is possible:

Repair paint protection coating properly
- subject to separate repair order.

If there is damage to the metal surface, reuse is no longer possible:

Remove compressed-gas tank concerned and send it in for further testing; replace if necessary.
- subject to separate repair order.

Check all high-pressure gas lines, gas pressure lines and gas pressure hoses of gas system by means of visual inspection

Check the lines, hoses and their brackets for damage or any other defects (e.g. corrosion, porosity, chafe marks etc.) which rule out reusing the parts.
If damage/defects are found:

eliminate damage/defects
- against a separate order.

Check all high-pressure gas lines, gas pressure lines and gas pressure hoses of the gas system to ensure that they do not rub against other components and are installed and secured correctly

If damage/defects are found:

eliminate damage/defects
- against a separate order.
