Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Chock the wheels and release the parking brake

The mechanical disassembly of the parking brake should only be performed if it is necessary for repair or if there is a need to move the vehicle in an emergency and that makes normal disassembly of the brake impossible.
Vehicle should not be placed in normal operation when parking brake is mechanically disengaged.

Run the engine until reaching the service pressure

Loosen the relief screw (1) up to stopper and then screw it in again up to the stopper

The relief screw must easily turn.
Do not use automatic electric screwdrivers for this operation.
