Check position of wear indicator (1) on brake camshaft

As the brake pad wears, the shaft adjuster automatically changes the position of the wear indicator (1) by shifting it toward the brake camshaft. With new brake pads the wear indicator is in position "A"

The maximum working travel (useful travel) of the brake camshaft is reached when the wear indicator is in position "B".

if maximum engagement travel is indicated for the brake camshaft, even if the wear limit has not yet been reached.
