1 Screw off nuts (arrows) and remove cover, drain oil filter.

Note

On vehicles with oil/air cooler (turbocharged engines) it is not necessary to drain the oil from the oil/air cooler.

2 Check throttle bore in oil tube (arrow) for foreign particles. If clogged remove foreign particles by hand.

3 Blow through throttle bore with compressed air. It should be possible to feel the air coming out of the bottom of the oil tube. If the throttle bore is not free or if air does not flow out, replace oil filter cap with oil tube.

4 Replace filter cartridge and rubber sealing ring on oil filter cap.

Ensure that the filter cartridge and rubber sealing ring on the filter cap are not mixed up with those for engines 615, 616 and 617, because they are a different size.

5 Attach cap and screw on nuts.
