Remove interior compartment flap above engine



Remove/install interior compartment flap above engine

Check engine brake cylinder, transmission parts and throttle shaft for wear


Replace any parts which are not in proper condition (subject to separate repair order).

Check throttle lever (1) for tight seating on throttle shaft

Adjustment

Check position of throttle shaft in park and operating position

 In neutral position the notch (4) must be parallel, and in operating position perpendicular to the flow direction of the exhaust gases.

Turn steering wheel lock to drive position and actuate engine brake with the accelerator pedal in the wide open throttle position

In operating position the throttle lever (1) must again touch the bracket (2).

Check pretension of engine brake cylinder in park position of engine brake

 The pretension is adequate, if the throttle lever (1) touches by means of return spring the engine brake cylinder at bracket (2).
In operating position the throttle lever (1) must again touch the bracket (2).

Install interior compartment flap above engine


