Remove the cover (3) and install the device to rotate the engine (4) onto the inspection hole in the distribution housing and bring the motor to the position of the crankshaft, according to the chosen adjustment method

Press the engine stop switch (S11), keep it pressed, then further press the engine start switch (S10) and bring the motor to the position of the crankshaft, according to the chosen adjustment method

 The engine will not start when the engine stop switch (S11) and the engine start switch (S10) are pressed simultaneously.



 Inspect or adjust valve clearance (arrow) while engine is cold, not before 30 minutes after engine has been switched off, even for a brief moment, in order to ensure even heating.

 Only on engine 904.9 until engine final No. 039739 or engine 906.9 until engine final No. 041955, required only after work on the cylinder head or tilting mechanism.
