Scheduled maintenance
The maintenance service intervals are arranged into various maintenance categories, according to how the vehicle is used.
The categories include "tourist traffic", "regular service" and "severe operating conditions".
The allocation of a vehicle to a maintenance category depends on the purpose that the vehicle is used for and whether normal or severe operating conditions are present.
Tourist traffic operating conditions include, for example, operation primarily on freeways and expressways or operation with few stops.
Regular service operating conditions include, for example, operation primarily in urban traffic and in densely populated areas, regional traffic with few expressways, a lot of stop and go traffic or short distance traffic.
Severe operating conditions include, for example, regular driving on unsurfaced roads, extreme amounts of short distance traffic or extreme climatic conditions (temperature, air humidity).

Maintenance information
Refer to the valid maintenance sheet and to the contents of the individual maintenance items in the maintenance manual for the maintenance scope.
The additional operations for the maintenance service and the time-dependent maintenance work are summarized on the maintenance sheet in front of the relevant operation item as follows:
V2 = Adjust valve clearance at 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, etc. maintenance
Z2 = Additional operations at every 2nd maintenance service
Z3 = Additional operations at every 3rd maintenance service
Z5 = Additional operations at every 5th maintenance service
J1 = Maintenance operations once a year
J2 = Maintenance operations every 2 years
J3 = Maintenance operations every 3 years
J4 = Maintenance operations every 4 years
km1 = Maintenance operations every 300,000 km or once a year
The completion of the individual maintenance items should be documented on the maintenance sheet by making a cross in the boxes in front of the operation titles.
A cross should be entered in the boxes after the operation titles to identify items which were not OK when the vehicle was received.
The person carrying out the work provides confirmation of this by a signature in the top part of the maintenance sheet.

On the confirmation pages, confirm the completion of the maintenance and, if applicable, the completion of the additional operations.

Maintenance tags
The maintenance tags must be completed after carrying out the maintenance work and attached in a clearly visible position in the engine compartment.
