Connecting wiring harness for four-wheel parking brake in cab

1 Install button (S77) for four-wheel parking brake in switch panel (1).

2 Connect plug to button (S77) and route wiring harness towards the rear along cable harness under center console.

 Fasten wiring harness with cable strap.

3 Affix four-wheel parking brake notice beside button (S77) on center console (see arrow).

4 Unfasten multipoint connector (2).

5 Separate plugs (3, 4) of connector (XT3) and unclip plug (4) from multipoint connector (2).

6 Clip cable (5) (RA114) into (Pin 16) of plug (3).

7 Clip cables (6, 7) (RA115A, RA115B) into (Pin 4) of plug (3) as a double connection.

8 Clip cable (8) (RA114C) into (Pin 16) of plug (4).

9 Clip cable (9) (RA115) into (Pin 4) of plug (4).

10 Clip plug (4) into multipoint connector (2) and connect plugs (3, 4) of connector (XT2).

11 Fasten multipoint connector (2)

12 Pull rubber seals off terminal point (W1, terminal 31) and (Z5, terminal 58).

13 Solder ground cables (10, 11) (RA003, RA004) onto terminal point (W1, terminal 31).

14 Solder cable (12) (RA116) onto terminal point (Z5, terminal 58).

15 Install rubber seals on terminal point (W1, terminal 31) and (Z5, terminal 58).

16 Unfasten base module (A7) and tilt towards the front.

17 Plug relay socket (13) into location 24 in base module (A7).

18 Plug relay (K24) into relay socket (13).

19 Clip cable (14) (RA110A) into (Pin 1) of plug (A7x7).

20 Tilt back base module (A7) and secure.

21 Remove all covers (15) from cable duct.

22 Route socket with cable (RA114) and ground cable (RA004) in cable duct as far as accelerator pedal.

23 Route socket with cable (RA114) and ground cable (RA004) via cable harness (16) behind ventilation box and on via cable track of transferable steering as far as instrument cluster.

 Use cable straps.

24 Remove socket carrier (17).

 Mark sockets before unplugging.

25 Remove cover from a free location in the socket carrier (17) and stick on four-wheel parking brake symbol disk instead.

26 Install socket carrier (17).

27 Insert bulb into socket and plug this into a new location in socket carrier (17).

28 Plug remaining sockets into socket carrier (17).

 Observe markings on sockets.
