Remove

1

Relieve pressure of compressed air system by repeatedly operating brake pedal

Remove compressed-air line (1)

 Compressed-air line (1) is no longer used. A residual pressure may be present in the air line (1).

Remove threaded fitting (2)

 Threaded fitting (2) is no longer used.



Assemble

Fit nut (3.1), thrust ring (3.2) and O­Ring (3.3) to T-piece (3.4)

Clamp T-piece (3.4) into vise

Fit thrust ring (3.5) and O-ring (3.6) onto threaded fitting (3.7)

Fit threaded fitting (3.7) to T-piece (3.4)

8

Fit thrust ring (3.8) and O-ring (3.9) to pressure limiting valve (3.10)

Fit pressure limiting valve (3.10) to T-piece (3.4)



Install

Screw pressure limiting valve unit (3) into compressed air reservoir

 The pressure limiting valve (3.10) must face vertically upwards.

Tighten nut (3.1)

Install new compressed-air line (4)



 Danger !

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start the engine and fill compressed air system

Turn off engine

Check pressure limiting valve unit (3) and air line (4) using leak detection spray for leaktightness

Retighten threaded connections.
