2 Classification of the injector (example)
Injector
The injectors are classified and identified by the part number and marking on the magnetic head (arrow).
There are three markings (circle with numbers from 1 to 3) that correspond to the classification, based on the tolerances of the injectors.
In the reutilization of the injectors, before removing them, we recommend to mark them in relation to the respective cylinders so they are reinstalled in their original position, otherwise, it will be necessary to carry out the recognition in the engine control module (CR) through the Star Diagnosis.
During the installation the recognition of the classification of each injector must be assured by the engine control module (CR) to the corresponding cylinder.
Replacement of injectors
At injector replacement, observe the classification (arrow) .
When installing a new injector with classification different to the previous one, carry out the recognition corresponding to the cylinder in the engine control module (CR), through the Star Diagnosis.
If the injectors classification is not considered, it will not be possible to guarantee the original engine emission levels.
