Faults in combustion can be detected through monitoring of flame monitor signal in conjunction with actual value 01:

Flame monitor must show "bright" after 60-80s after heater switched on. This state must be maintained unit coolant temperature of approx. 90 °C or unit shortly after switching off of heater (also at partial load).

If flame monitor sporadically goes dark during this phase:

1. Check heater unit fuel supply (fuel filter blocked, fuel cable leaking, metering pump performance poor / metering pump leaking etc.).

2. Check heater unit combustion air supply (intake supports and intake pipe dirty / blocked, insufficient combustion air blower speed).

3. Evaporator rusted / defective.
