Fault memory
The "fault memory" item can be called up in the "functions" menu in order to test individual control modules. The fault code numbers that are stored in the control module are displayed together with the associated fault messages. A maximum of 3 faults can be stored in the ABS/ABD or ETS control modules. If more than 3 different faults occur, the oldest fault is erased. Detected faults are indicated by illumination of the Sila ABS and are stored in the control module fault memory, where they are coded as fault code numbers.
During fault detection and storage, a distinction is made as follows:
fault currently present (current fault)
fault did exist, but is no longer present (stored fault)
Procedure for current faults:
Deal with fault as described in HHT display.
Procedure for stored faults:
Erase fault memory, perform test drive and re-read fault memory. If the fault has been stored again, check cables, fuses and connections using current wiring diagram for loose contact or corrosion.
