Notes on operational faults
Wheel bearing play / gap
Too much wheel play can cause wobbling and affect the speed sensor signals. Voltage reduction may occur if the distance between the speed sensor and the rotor is too great. Initial activation is not triggered and the speed limit (vmin) is not reached.
Rotor
Worn or broken teeth, soiling and a rotor with the wrong number of teeth can affect the speed sensor signals and lead to a fault being reported.
Tire size
Operation faults can occur if tires of different sizes are fitted. Always fit tires of the same size. A mixture of summer and winter tires of the same size is permitted.
Low voltage
If the system or the entire on-board power supply has low voltage, the ABS/ABD or ETS control module switches off the Sila ABS illuminates.
The Sila ABS also illuminates if a connector is disconnected from the ABS/ABD or ETS control module.
