The ground cable must be disconnected from the battery when carrying out all welding work using an electric welder.
A simple operational check is sufficient after all work on the brake system which does not affect the ABS/ABD parts directly. In other words, with the ABS/ABD intact, the Sila ABS and the ABD information display must extinguish after approx. 2 seconds and the Sila ABS must not light up once the vehicle exceeds a speed of 12 km/h.
This work includes, for example, replacing brake cylinders, brake pads, brake hoses, brake discs, the brake booster, master brake cylinder, brake control cables, brake lines and parts of the parking brake.
When replacing the hydraulic unit, speed sensors or brake lines, always ensure they are installed and assigned correctly.
Connecting brake lines incorrectly to the hydraulic unit or mixing up electric connections for the speed sensors can cause the brake system to malfunction thus reducing the safety of the vehicle. Therefore, check the system is installed correctly and perform the appropriate system test.
