WSK engine speed operational check using actual values
The input for the engine speed sensor (= input rotor speed) on TCC control module (pins 5, 13) can be checked.
This value is required by the TCC control module with actual value 03, turbine speed for determining the shift points for the torque converter lockup clutch. If required, this speed value can be compared with the RPM counter on the instrument panel or EMR EDC speed sensor, etc.
TCC control module defective.
If a speed of 0 is displayed and fault code 117 ( –) or 118 (–//–, +) is not stored:
– The distance between converter ring gear and speed sensor is too great (e.g. after repair).
