| Fault code | |
| Fault storage Activation of the engine diagnosis (EURO3/4) or CHECK ENGINE (MIL) malfunction indicator lamp | Following the expiry of the test duration and fault Following two consecutive driving cycles with fault |
| Frequency of the test | Continuously |
| Checked signal or status | Current/voltage test at the EGR transducer |
| Fault setting conditions Limit values Short-circuit to ground Short-circuit to + 12 V Cable interruption Duration of test |
Voltage < 2.5 V Current > 4.2 A No voltage at the EGR transducer Approx. 4 - 8 V at the non-loaded output of the ME-SFI control module Approx. 1 s |
| Test prerequisites | Battery voltage between 8 - 17.1 V |
| | A check is carried out for lead interruption and short-circuit (to ground or battery voltage). In blocked output stage status, short-circuit to ground and lead interruption are detected, whilst short-circuit to battery voltage is detected with output stage conduction. In the event of a fault, the output stage is no longer activated with immediate effect. |
