Connecting Hand-Held Tester and starting test program (see also operating instructions of HHT)
It is essential to strictly observe the connection sequence 1 to 5 otherwise the multiplexer may be damaged.
1 Ignition OFF
2 Insert test module into the HHT
3 Connect multiplexer to the HHT
4 Connect multiplexer to the data link connector
5 Ignition ON
6 Start test program

In order to find the correct position, the rotating bayonet ring is first of all turned fully to the left as far as the stop. In this position, the multiplexer is then guided through the lugs so that it can be
plugged into the vehicle data link connector only in a specified position. After plugging in the multiplexer, it is attached by turning the bayonet ring fully to the right as far as the stop.
